Dick:
A Proposed Question and Answer site for Genealogy has been attempting to get enough support to get it into Beta. It will need approximately 400 interested people signed up in order to get the Beta off and running. If it is successful at getting enough interest and traffic during the Beta, then the site will be made permanent by the StackExchange people.
The Proposal has been active for 14 days now, and could really use some publicity. A mention in your EOGN would really help it out.
I had previously posted a New Release that you may have missed: http://www.prurgent.com/2012-08-26/pressrelease259274.htm
I've blogged about it and game some additional background information: http://www.beholdgenealogy.com/blog/?p=1128
The Proposal site itself is here: http://bit.ly/Pzv6rv
Unfortunately, the Proposal stages are confusing to most people. They go there expecting an actual Q&A site, and don't expect a site that they have to sign up to just to get a proposal through. I've posted further instructions to make this clearer at:
https://plus.google.com/u/0/106257958448273208907/posts/GAYKVrtMWGH
I have no vested interest in getting this Q&A site going other than I think it would be a tremendous resource for all genealogists if it did get going.
Thanks so much.
