A number of other companies have rushed in to create so-called iGoogle replacements. You can learn about many of them by starting at http://goo.gl/Nz9b2F. I have looked at a number of them but was unimpressed until I found igHome.
igHome looks a lot like iGoogle although perhaps not as visually appealing. However, I found replacements for everything I have been using on iGoogle. The same service offers a huge number of plug-in gadgets to expand your desktop view. The entire list may be found at http://www.ighome.com/directory.aspx. It also accepts RSS newsfeeds for web sites that offer such feeds. I use RSS newsfeeds a lot to monitor dozens of web sites.
igHome is available free of charge. It apparently derives revenue from an unobtrusive ad displayed at the bottom of the home page.
If you are looking for an iGoogle replacement, I'd suggest you check out igHome at http://www.igHome.com to see if it appeals to you.
