In recent weeks, I see that genealogy events have been listed in:
Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Indiana, Massachusetts, Missouri, New Hampshire, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, and UtahCanada:
Manitoba and OntarioElsewhere:
United Kingdom, Genealogy Cruises
Of course, there is a lot more room left for listings of other events. All information is directly provided by the readers of this newsletter. That means YOU. You do not need to submit the listings to anyone else and then wait... and wait... All listings become visible to everyone a second or two after you enter the information at http://www.eogn.com/calendar.
Events can be anything that is genealogy-related. You are invited to enter information about your society's next monthly meeting, a society's planned trip to a genealogy archive, any future event that is of genealogical interest.
If you or someone you know is holding an online webinar, you might add that also.
The calendar uses wiki software. A wiki is a web site that allows visitors to make changes, contributions, or corrections. This means you and all the other readers of this newsletter can add information directly. If you do see listings for past events or anything that is inappropriate for a listing of genealogy events, please delete it immediately. YOU (and the other newsletter readers) control all the information in the Calendar of Genealogy Events.
I invite everyone to add events to the calendar at http://www.eogn.com/calendar.
To genealogy speakers: I would suggest you add the event(s) where you are speaking. A listing at http://www.eogn.com/calendar will certainly help with the publicity. You also can add pictures (please keep them small), bio, and anything else you think is appropriate.
