Just a reminder: the Who Do You Think You Are? Live! family history conference starts tomorrow (Thursday) morning at the Olympia Exhibition Centre and Conference Centre in West Kensington, London. More than 10,000 attendees are expected to attend over the next three days to visit with more than 150 genealogy vendors and to attend numerous workshops. A number of well-known U.K. celebrities will also be in attendance, primarily those who appeared in past Who Do You Think You Are? television episodes.
I walked past the Olympia Exhibition Centre today and snapped a few pictures. Click on any image here to view a larger photo.
I didn't attempt to go inside. However, a brief glance through an open doorway did prove the place was a beehive of activity as vendors and workmen were obviously very busy setting up exhibit booths and hanging signs. You can see a picture below of the empty Exhibition Centre. However, I didn't take that photo; it is a "canned publicity photo" supplied by the Exhibition Centre.
The next photo shows what it should look like tomorrow. I took this photo at last year's Who Do You Think You Are? Live! conference:
I should be inside the Olympia Exhibition Centre shortly after the event opens in the morning. I'll have the camera with me and will probably snap lots of photos, a few of which will undoubtedly appear in tomorrow's newsletter. I also may record some interviews with some of the genealogy "movers and shakers" that I meet as well.
The remaining photos were taken earlier today:
