This has nothing to do with genealogy but it is a service I use more or less daily and one that I believe is a good deal for many people. I thought I would share this information.
I have been an Amazon Prime customer for several years. The service is best known for offering two-day shipping on virtually anything you order from Amazon, with no minimum. It also offers unlimited streaming of movies and TV shows and one borrowed e-book per month. An Amazon Prime subscription also allows you to download some Instant Video content to Kindle Fire HD and HDX tablets for offline viewing.
At $79 a year, Amazon Prime is a bit cheaper than Netflix and you get free shipping on (most) Amazon orders as well. Amazon Prime has changed the way I shop. With two-day delivery at no charge, I find shopping online is not only easier, but is also usually cheaper than driving to a local store, paying for gasoline and and occasional parking fees and tolls. If my need isn't urgent, I purchase most things online, usually from Amazon. I have rarely had a need to contact Amazon's customer service department but, when I did, the issue was always resolved quickly.
