The Clearfield County Historical Society has officially announced the kick-off of its capital campaign to fund the William B. Alexander V Research Center. The new research center will provide an up-to-date facility, which will house genealogical and historical records for the county.
The Alexander family graciously donated the funds necessary to purchase a building to use as the new Research Center. To make the building accessible and operational, it needs to be configured for handicapped use with restrooms on a one-level floor plan, including new shelving, furniture, access doors and parking facilities. The project requires $200,000 in order to complete this work, plus establish a permanent endowment fund to help run this center in years to come.
