Thank you for posting this Free genealogy program. With so many friends and family members that cannot afford the cost of these programs, many are handwriting theirs, this is welcome and refreshing. I went onto the gramps site and researched it quite thoroughly. It has everything folks want and is very similar to the old AFT that I have been using plus more. I certainly will recommend this to all.

I needed a decent program to run on my Windows 7 PC. I had heard of Gramps,so I tried downloading it. It’s there on my PC,only after I searched for a way to open & Run the program, finally using WinZip…I’m stupid at this point, all I see is a list of all the Gramps associated program files…How do I get this thing to work ๐Ÿ˜ฆ ?
Any hints, suggestions ,directions and hand holding will be greatly appreciated ๐Ÿ™‚
