RootsTech 2015 Schedule

Are you planning to attend RootsTech next week? If so, you might want to first check out the Conference Schedule at https://rootstech.org/schedule?lang=eng in order to plan for the presentations you wish to attend.

Even better, you might want to download the mobile app that is available for iPhone, iPad, Android, Blackberry and Windows Phone. Details may be found at https://rootstech.org/app?lang=eng. For Android and Apple iOS (iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch), you can use the QR code to the left for quicker access to the RootsTech mobile app. For all other web-enabled devices, point your mobile browser to m.core-apps.com/rootstech2015 and you will be directed to the proper app version for your particular device.

Dick: Do you know if Roots Tech will have a live stream of any of their sessions? If so, do you know where to find an agenda?

Update: A newsletter reader sent me a link to the schedule of events at RootsTech to be live streamed. Take a look at https://familysearch.org/blog/en/20-rootstech-sessions-grow-family-tree/

Yes, although I cannot find a schedule of the events with one exception: The RootsTech Family Discovery Day on February 12 will be streamed online. However, the Family Discovery Day is specific to members of the LDS faith and probably won’t appeal to non-Mormons. See http://goo.gl/AL4MsY for details.

All of the live streaming sessions will be available at http://www.rootstech.org so I suggest keeping an eye on that site as we get closer to the dates of the conference. I suspect the schedule for each live streaming event will be posted there at least a few hours, maybe a day or so, in advance.

Hi Dick,

Here in Victoria, BC, Canada, Family Discovery Day, which will be held on February 28th, is a day-long genealogical event developed with the community in mind, not just LDS members. In the past we have hosted several such seminars and there are usually more non-LDS in attendance than LDS members!

For Victoria’s Family Discovery Day we have partnered with Roots Tech to show 6 recorded sessions as well as more than 30 live classes given by expert genealogical presenters throughout the day.

Our day is advertised on your Calendar of Genealogical events for BC. Details are at: GenealogyVictoria.org
