I have taken this course and can recommend it, especially for beginners who want to get started off on the right foot and avoid making some very common mistakes, but also for experienced genealogists who want a very organized review of best practices.

In addition to covering the construction of a solid paper trail and a section on DNA evidence, the course included an ongoing feature following one woman’s research into a family who had changed their surname, showing how she organized her research and followed up on all the clues to discover a very touching WWI story. The course also provided a couple of opportunities for course participants to do some hands on research and share their results.
